Job Summary/Basic Function
Serve as assistant archivist for grant-funded and other externally-funded projects involving the processing of archival materials and artifacts according to accepted professional standards. Create digital images of archival documents and attendant metadata for online dissemination of materials. Work with and under the direction of senior archival staff.
Required Education
BA degree
Required Related Experience
Six (6) months part-time experience in an archival setting with demonstrated experience in arrangement and description of manuscript or archival collections, including working with multiple media, including photographs, recorded media, oversized items, artifacts, and rare books.
Desirable Related Experience
Experience with digital platforms such as PastPerfect; experience with political archives; experience with creating digital images of documents and artifacts. Experience processing congressional collections preferred.
