Overview
Assistant Box Office Manager with day-to-day operations of the box office and assists with ticket operations for Chartway Arena, S.B. Ballard Stadium, and ODU Athletics, utilizes Paciolan ticketing software for all event creations and financial reports, and maintains all box office policies and procedures.
This role will pay a salary of $19.23 to $24.04.

About the Venue
Chartway Arena is a 9,100-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Old Dominion University. Operated by OVG360 since it opened in 2002, Chartway Arena is known as one of the premier mid-sized collegiate venues in the country. Chartway Arena is home to Old Dominion Monarch Men’s and Women’s basketball, as well as concerts, family shows and other attractions for the Hampton Roads area. Responsibilities
- Responsible for part time seller training, scheduling, supervision, and payroll.
- Supervise and oversee all financial settlements related to sellers and seller recaps.
- Responsible for cash handling and box office controls.
- Process financial reconciliation such as daily reports, event statements and monthly reports.
- Assist in the maintenance of the ODU Athletic ticket operations, customer relations, and game day box office management for all ticketed sports including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
- Provide professional customer service to patrons and clients and oversee customer relations for the office, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Responsible for system upgrades, occasional testing of new software and routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the maintenance of marketing/trade/comp policies for all events.
- Assist in building all facets of events in the Paciolan ticketing system.
- Oversee the maintenance and reporting of the AM Monitor ticket scanners.
- Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives.
- Assist with implementation of season ticket timelines for ODU football and basketball including preseason renewals, promotion of new sales, seat allocations, compliance, ticket printing, packaging, and delivery.
- Assist ODU Athletics with reporting needs, processing, 0etc. and ensure the proper use of ticketing system.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course works in Marketing, business administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for the specific degree fields listed.
- 1-2 years experience in a Customer Service environment.
- Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years increasing responsibility in Ticket Operations.
