Job Description

Manages the day-to-day technical support, installation, repair and maintenance of key, complex infrastructure components of broadcast facilities.

Provides daily supervision, management, and direction of engineering and technical staff in the routine activities of the SEC-Network control rooms. Ensures after-hours critical issues impacting the produced on-air technical look and/or performance are resolved.

Maintains equipment to ensure that it functions properly; quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems with transmissions.

Conducts functional and operational testing procedures to ensure quality performance of broadcast equipment.

Assists in the planning and establishment of operational goals for the SEC-Network broadcast facilities at Mizzou, assuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory agency regulations.

Maintains and equips the facility as state of the art, developing and recommending technical standards to provide consistent functioning and compliance with ESPN, SEC, NCAA and FCC requirements.

Participates in training and development to keep abreast of latest technological advances; develops and implements training programs for other technical staff in all aspects of broadcast standards, practices and basic electronic theory and troubleshooting.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $17.96 – $25.57 per hour, commensurate with education and experience

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
