Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

This role will provide support to the Design process in order to manage and maintain information in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system; ensuring details are entered with timeliness, consistency and attention to detail.

Partner with New York-based Design Teams to ensure the most up to date information is being entered into PLM.

  • Partner with Design Teams on Adobe Illustrator Projects; including, art repeats, style CADing, and Catalog creation.
  • Proactively request from key stakeholders any additional information (materials, colorways, image pages, etc) that might be required to keep the PLM system updated.
  • Input and track product sampling information in PLM.
  • Attend New York-based design review meetings via video conference and track design changes.
  • Update style information in PLM based on design review outcomes.
  • Develop tech packs that are design driven while being production ready in PLM

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • PLM experience a plus
  • Knowledge of product life cycle; i.e. product development, production, merchandising, design, or tech design is a must
  • Ability to read design specs
  • Must be organized, detail-minded, have strong collaboration, communication, and team management skills
  • Must be okay with working with technology
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow up and follow through skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency

Salary Range: $48,000-$58,500

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate’s educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
