Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Provides general oversight to the management of the day to day facilities maintenance activities in the Department of Residential Facilities. Focuses on resolving critical building deficiencies, situations with unsafe or undesirable impact on customers, and the closure of long-standing maintenance issues. Acts for the Associate Director in their absence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:Seven (7) years experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of utility plant systems, especially chilled water, high-temperature heating water, electrical and steam generation equipment, and automation systems.
- Strong capability in program and project management oversight.
- Knowledge of program delivery through total life cycle cost methods from design, build, operation, and maintenance for the program term.
- Ability to work with a wide range of individuals involved in facilities management.
- Strong leadership and management skills and ability to oversee external contractors.
- Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
- Effective communicator, both in oral and written form, with the ability to use computers for word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to lead and supervise others

- Professional certification in facilities management
- Knowledge of building automation systems
- Experience with work management software

Salary Range: $110,000 to $137,500

Physical Demands
- Incumbent will be required to work from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding; to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery; to manipulate heavy equipment, tools, and supplies and/or exert force up to 70 lbs.
- Incumbent will work in hazardous or irritating environments, and adverse weather or temperature conditions.
- Incumbent will assist with/lead snow removal activities, which may require using snow removal equipment and working outside in cold weather for extended periods of time which may occur outside of regular working hours.
- Incumbent will be required to wear and work in personal protective equipment and work on ladders of varying feet in height.
- Work will involve repetitive motion incumbent will be required to inspect work, which may involve bending, stooping, walking, and climbing.
- Will require extended hours and overtime work due to weather emergencies, scheduled openings and closings, and system changeovers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
