We are currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director, Football Recruiting Creative. This position will report to the Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football (“Head Coach”). This position will support all Stanford Football efforts to attract, inspire, and communicate with prospective student-athletes; create content that follows and amplifies a prospect’s recruiting journey; build brand affinity for Stanford Football; and highlight program stories and narratives. This position will focus on the creation of static and motion digital content to tell stories of past, present and prospective Stanford student-athletes; celebrate individual and program success; and showcase Stanford’s commitment to, and support of, the student-athlete from recruiting through graduation and beyond. Successful execution of this role will enhance the Stanford Football brand, celebrating our rich history and enticing elite prospective student-athletes to join us on The Farm. This is a one-year, fixed term position with the opportunity for renewal.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop creative strategies and build campaigns to promote the brand of Stanford Football to a national audience of prospective student-athletes.
- Produce engaging static and motion content for Stanford Football recruiting communications and digital platforms.
- Create personalized designs that promote prospective student-athlete visualization of Stanford experiences and success.
- Generate creative responses to cultural or industry trends to lead in a competitive landscape.
- Organize and execute creative content capture during campus recruiting visits, including photo shoots.
- Identify, mentor and organize student designers to support Stanford Football recruiting creative projects.
- Collaborate with Stanford Athletics creatives to foster excellence and maintain consistency in design standards and look & feel.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Communications and Digital & Video teams on publicity of Stanford Football recruiting, including Signing Day, from initial concept to completion.
- Ensure proper organization of creative content files and archives.
- Maintain quality control of content. Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to appropriate production standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
The expected pay range for this position is $67,000 to $72,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of design principles.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator required.
- Proficiency in video production and editing (Premiere Pro or other) a plus, but not required.
- Ability to produce a high volume of creative content, while maintaining a strong quality of work.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Self-motivated individual who takes initiative, continually self-evaluates, and proactively identifies new opportunities.
- Anticipates and/or responds effectively to changing industry and cultural trends, welcomes fresh perspectives, and learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Ability to take and incorporate feedback to improve designs and adapt to shifting priorities.
