The Assistant Director provides administrative and educational support for the science undergraduate students in the Orion Living Learning Community (LLC) and for the Orion Director. Duties include: communicating and collaborating with campus partners and students, attending Orion classes, helping to manage shared program documents, supporting program evaluation, overseeing the responsibilities of students planning events, coordinating purchases, managing budgets, preparing and attending recruitment events, processing and assessing applications to the LLC, and helping to coordinate Orion student housing.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in a STEM field or equivalent training and/or experience. Strong organization and time management skills. Event planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Administrative support experience in an academic or professional office environment. Experience with academic and student affairs initiatives, such as living-learning communities and first year experience courses. Experience working with undergraduate students. Experience working in residential life and housing.
