Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of MBA Global & Experiential Learning, this position will assist in the planning and execution of global and domestic MBA experientials (including Daniels Case Competitions). Duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of tasks, collaboration with other departments within and outside of Daniels, and communication with students, faculty, and staff in the successful completion of each experiential.
Essential Functions
Case Competitions
- Lead the design, development and execution of Race & Case and the Inclusive Excellence Competition-which are signature Daniels College of Business case competitions-potentially other smaller competitions within the College.
- Establish and manage the budget for each competition.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Community Relations to provide case sponsors and sponsorship funding.
- Collaborate with Events to coordinate venues, meals, transportation, hotels and other support.
- Coordinate with the Office of Marketing and Communications to provide internal and external marketing for the events.
- Coordinate with faculty to provide case write-up (in cooperation with case sponsor) and staff to provide student coaching and advising.
- Coordinate as needed to secure case competition judges.
Domestic MBA Experientials
- Domestic experientials are multi-day experiences which include but are not limited to outdoor experiences at the Nature Place, immersion weekends which may or may not be on-campus, activities at the Kennedy Mountain Campus, and other experientials that may be added to the MBA curriculum in the future. Domestic experientials often include travel and may require work on the weekends.
- Assist in developing and managing the budget for each domestic experiential.
- Manage the contract process with multiple stakeholders within the University.
- Coordinate with the Director to manage the experience of all key stakeholders to deliver outcomes beyond client expectations.
- Participate in domestic experiential as needed to ensure faculty/staff to student ratio.
Global MBA Experientials
- Global experientials include multi-day international experiences and require travel and work on the weekends and during University breaks.
- Coordinate with Director to prepare and present multiple destination options to cohort leaders in each program. Guide cohorts to select locations while considering pros and cons of destinations, current events, and relevance to course of study and cohort projects.
- Under direction of the director, coordinate travel with students, staff and faculty ensuring all parties receive appropriate information with regards to the trip itself (trip registration, dates, booking airfare and visa information, COVID protocol if applicable, etc.).
- Assist in developing and managing the budget for each global travel program.
- Manage the contract process with multiple stakeholders within the University.
- Coordinate with the Director to manage the experience of all key stakeholders to deliver outcomes beyond client expectations.
- Participate in global travel as needed to ensure faculty/staff to student ratio.
Academic Department/non-MBA Program Support
- Provide academic units with logistics and operational consultation support in the execution of domestic and international travel projects. Oversee domestic and international travel course approval process, including working collaboratively with Office of Internationalization, Enterprise Risk Management and Dean’s Office.
- Provide academic units consultation support with DU resources and requirements associated with challenge projects and experiences.
- Create consistent standards, processes and procedures associated with experientials, while providing support in the execution of experiential activities for all academic programs and departments.

- Proficient in MS Office/systems (MS Word, Excel, Power Point; Visio and Project are a plus), Slate, Banner, Salesforce, Zoom, Office 365, Teams, and various learning management systems.
- Comfortable and skilled in cross-cultural communications.
- Able to multitask using discretion and independent judgment.
- Detail-oriented in project execution.
- Self-starter, able to work independently or work well with others as part of a team.
- Strong time management and constructive problem-solving skills.
- Self-aware and willing to learn and improve.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years experience in an administrative or event planning role in an office environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in any business, education, or related field preferred
- 3+ years experience in an administrative or event planning role in an academic environment
Working Environment
Standard office environment.
Unexpected changes to programming often occur, and stress level is low to moderate.
Office noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The salary grade for the position is 9.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$62,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
