The Housing Authority of the City of Camden (HACC) is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of HCV Program (HCVP) as part of the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV).

The Assistant Director of HCV Program performs high-level accounting and financial management work in financial transactions, reporting and grant scheduling. The supervisory purpose of this position is to oversee various program activities to support the HACC HCV Program, including participant recertification, income and rent calculations, leasing, rent increases, briefings, quality control file reviews, conduct quality control inspections, coordination of check runs with Finance, monitoring of PIC/EIV reporting, submission of HCV department 50058s to PIC, and monitoring of HUD PIH Notices and changes in regulation. The services provided above assist low-income families and individuals who may include the homeless, elderly or disabled. Assistance will include helping the client to secure affordable housing and improve their living conditions with the goal of an improved quality of life and self-sufficiency. All activities must support HACC’s mission, strategic goals, and objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great attention to detail and motivational qualities.

Annual Salary range: $62,500.00 – $65,000.00 ($30.04 – $31.25 per hour).

Successful candidates will be subject to satisfactory drug and criminal background screenings before hiring.

Required Qualifications and Education:

The minimum educational qualification required to be an Assistant Director of the HCVP is a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration; a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing professional level accounting work or equivalent combination of education, and three (3) years of supervisory experience in functional areas of financial management such as accounting, budgeting, auditing, or financial or fiscal analysis. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All appointees must have a valid Driver’s License.

Must possess at least two (2) of the following six (6) certifications within 18 months of being hired or promoted. Failure to possess all certifications after 18 months in the position may result in termination:

  • HCV Specialist Certification
  • HCV Rent Calculation Certification
  • HQS Inspector Certification
  • HCV Financial Management
  • HCV Program Management (V.P.N)
  • RAD Project-Based Voucher Specialist Certification
