The Assistant Director of Media & Digital Relations reports directly to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Media Relations. A full-time 12 month position responsible for coordinating event management for Bobcat Athletics, serving as the primary media contact for Men’s Basketball, track & field, women’s golf and secondary for footall. Serving as the coordinator of all social media outlets and content.
- The Assistant Director of Media & Digital Communications oversee www.msubobcats.com website, acting as a department liaison for Sidearm, Bobcat Sports Properties and other external constituents. This includes maintaining accuracy of the site’s dynamic elements, managing web-related audio and video content, currency & accuracy of rosters, schedules and bio sketches.
- Work in conjunction with Montana PBS to coordinate streaming of home events on the ESPN+ Platform.
- Serve as primary media contact for the Men’s Basketball, Track & Field/Cross Country & Women’s Golf teams, secondary contact for Football, to include managing home events, coordinating the media guide and other publications and managing media relation efforts for those programs.
- Oversee all areas of Bobcat social media efforts. Assist coaches and other department personnel with social messaging particularly implementing and revising a social media policy. Serves as department manager/supervisor for all athletics ancillary social media outlets.
- Responsible for complying with all Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Montana State University, NCAA and Big Sky Conference rules and regulations.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics for Media Relations, the Deputy Director of Athletics and/or the Director of Athletics.
