Job Description
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement position serves as the liaison between Mizzou Athletics and the student body. This includes the creation of comprehensive marketing, social media, advertising, and promotional planning, by working with tickets sales/operations and strategic communications to execute plans. This position reports to the Associate AD of Marketing.
Job Description:
- Primary responsibility for Assistant Director of Student Engagement will be to engage with the University of Missouri student body to identify creative means to increase student attendance throughout Mizzou Athletics’ events.
- Contact and cultivate relationships with all 58 fraternity and sororities affiliated with the University of Missouri. Specifically athletic liaison with each house.
- Contact and cultivate relationships with all 600 student body organizations affiliated with the University of Missouri. Specifically, president or equivalent role.
- Heavy emphasis on group sales for Greek life and student body organizations for home football games and basketball games.
- Be responsible for All Sport Pass renewal campaign, with a strong focus on renewing freshmen buyers.
- Attend new student orientations in, dorm move in dates, and other university led student related events.
- When necessary, help handle inbound phone calls and make outbound phone calls to non-student prospects for ticket packages.

Salary
Starting Salary Range: $19.24/hour
GGS Grade: 8
University Title: STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE I

Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sport Administration or a related field
- Two years of experience in collegiate or professional sports marketing or ticket sales field. Experience can include internships and graduate assistant level
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Email Marketing Experience
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
