Summary
The Supervisor, Special Moves position is responsible for coordination of high profile vehicle shipments from bidding process, vendor management, execution of shipments to final customer, and finishing billing process. This includes all Hyundai/Kia/Genesis auto shows, cross-shipments, damage vehicle moves, demo vehicles, new model launches, shuttles, enclosed carrier transports, stock transfers, and new OEM business accounts.

$72,000-$85,000/Annually
Responsibilities
- Primary
- Coordinate Special Moves and Cross-Shipments
- Receive special move and cross-ship requests from customers and bid out moves to truck vendors
- Negotiate pricing with truck vendors to ensure the best price available as well as the highest quality transportation vendors are used in these special moves
- Communicate all necessary information to the billing department to guarantee all A/R is collected without delay
- Monitor and ensure all steps in the special move process are completed in a timely manner
- This includes all steps in ITMS, SAP, Vendor Invoicing, and Customer Billing
- Ensure all special move requirements are met up to the customer’s standards, as well as ensuring moves are on time and damage free
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the transportation vendors
- Ensure all messages between parties are communicated quickly and clearly
- Forecast transportation budgets based on historical and market trends to customers for accruals
- Oversee Special Moves Team and Operations
- Supervise and train special moves analysts assigned in handling all OEM accounts ensuring all shipments are executed to final delivery
- Provide suggestions and advice for procedure/policy changes within the special moves department

- Audit and Process Invoices from truck and rail vendors, both manual and EDI
- Correspond with carriers via e-mail and phone regarding correction of audit hold
- Create Manual Billing Invoices (i.e. transportation, fuel, storage, back-up, and all others)
- Ensure all EDI files received from vendors are received in a timely manner as well as validated for correctness
- Troubleshoot invoicing and delivery file transmission issues with assistance of the IT Department
- Log daily carrier VIN data and reconcile vendor invoices, then submit to Billing for payment
- Navigate all new OEM Portals and become subject matter experts on how to use these programs

Skills
- Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Complex Problem Solving Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
- 5-8 Years of Experience in Logistics, Vehicle Processing, or Supply Chain
- 1-3 Years of Experience in Supervisory/Management Position
