- Shift 1: Monday – Thursday (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for personal production and member training goals of club(s) while performing increasing levels of administration, also meets with clients, understands goals, develops training programs for California Family Fitness through meetings, assuring client improvement and satisfaction, and meets sessions and supplements sales goals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Exercises confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Achieves Personal Training revenue goals through self-promotion, lead based consultations, and departmental activities
- Assists in the selection, hiring, and training of new employees
- Coaches and supervises club Certified Personal Trainers under the direction of manager
- Schedules and maintains staff rosters, calendars, vacation requests and other data
- Makes 30-50 calls to members per day to grow member retention and training sessions
- Produces reports on club fitness budget, sessions, members and other reports are requested
- Transfers to other clubs as required by business needs
- Availability to be promoted to a Fitness Manager
- Updates client health data into an electronic member database complying with HIPAA laws regularly
- Balances administrative duties with personal training, sales and sessions goals equally
- Conducts locker room checks and other actions to ensure a clean club
- Maintains Personal Trainer Silver tier requirements
- Communicates effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Ensures facility is kept clean and safe at all times throughout routine maintenance cleaning and safety checks
- Attends all mandatory meetings in club as well as offsite; in addition to conference calls
- Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
- Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Degree: B.A./B.S. or nationally recognized certification plus 1 year(s) experience in fitness or retail sales position; plus nationally recognized certifications or an approved secondary certification or college degree in related field from accredited university
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), ability to understand and process administrative requests, employee FTE impact on budgets and reconcile hours worked to training sessions worked; knowledge of contemporary management and fitness terminology and methods; ability to supervise a group during supervisor’s absence. CPR/FIRST AID/AED certified
