Position Overview
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading independent global professional services firm, specializing in providing turnaround management, performance improvement and advisory services, is seeking an Assistant and Associate General Counsel – Client Engagements.
Reporting to the General Counsel, this key member of the legal team will assist in protecting the organization’s legal interests, provide hands-on counsel to executive management and senior staff and is responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues. Prior experience drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance is required. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Essential Functions
- Work with the legal team and firm professionals (and ultimately dedicated service lines) on client contracting matters such as master service agreements, engagement letters, and on ancillary client-related agreements (e.g., confidentiality, IP and technology);
- Assist in drafting and assessing service offerings from a legal risk management perspective;
- Advise service lines on risk management areas and assist in managing legal risk controls;
Qualifications/Experience
- 2-5 years of experience as an attorney, with 1-2 years in-house experience.
- Member of the State Bar in Florida.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

T he salary range is $ 120,000 – $160,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
