We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of 8 years of in-house experience in multi-state employment law issues. Financial services experience is preferred. This position could be remote or hybrid based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (preferred); St. Paul, Minnesota or Baltimore, Maryland. What You Will Do:
In this role, you will manage an employment law teamand the employment compliance function. You will also consult with and advise business leaders within the organization on appropriate legal action, manage complex employment-related litigation, and advise on internal investigations. You may also have budget and legal department operations responsibilities.

What Success Looks Like:
- Work on complex legal problems and effectively communicate advice to varying audiences.
- Navigate difficult disputes that may have a serious impact to the company, including administrative charges and litigation.
- Contribute to thought leadership on outside counsel management, selection, and related metrics.
- Assist with periodic budget requirements.
- Strong commitment to the mentoring, professional development, and training of more junior attorneys.
- Identify needs for, participate in, and fully support departmental and cross-functional working groups in identified areas of expertise or development;
What You Need:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Eight years of relevant legal experience
- Licensed or eligible to practice in the applicable state
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and oral, with the intended audience
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to exercise agility and adaptability in providing legal advice
- Comfortable in a rapidly changing corporate environment
- Proficient using MS Office
Working Conditions:
- Remote or hybrid work environment
- Periodic travel will be required

Compensation:
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $170,000 – $210,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
