Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager with all the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained. This position will provide supervision of guest rooms, and direction for all housekeeping activities including hiring, scheduling, staffing, team development, room inspections, training and development of employees. This person will also be responsible for the deep cleans, inventories, and guest services.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.
- Housekeeping management of Hotel rooms and Residences.
- Housekeeping management of Laundry Operations and Public Areas.
- Uniform operations management and tracking/inventory
- Assistance with linen/supply inventories x2 annually
- Guest Services management, including guest interaction, follow up, and rebound reports.
- Investigates complaints, evaluates corrective actions, and implements plan to resolve and de-escalate conflicts.
- Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.

- Monitors house count and make staffing adjustments accordingly.

- Distribute and delegate work load to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials.

- Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping staff in details of work.
- Provide staffing, training, coaching and performance reviews for the housekeeping department.
- Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
- Empowers team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Coach and mentors team member to reach their potential, including supervisor level and line staff.
- Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
- Develops strong working relationships with other departments to ensure communication and teamwork is at an optimum.
- Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the department leads the charge in regard to recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager in evaluating condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects.
- Performs any additional tasks or projects as required.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of resort housekeeping experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience dealing with guests and with a large team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able stand for long periods of time and be able to access all areas of the resort.
Preferred:
- College degree in a Hospitality Management program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Lightspeed, and Marriott GXP
- Knowledge of conversational/business Spanish.
The expected pay range is $52,000 – $59,660. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
