BayLegal has an exciting opening for an enthusiastic professional to serve as an Assistant on the Impact and Learning team. BayLegal is committed to being at the forefront of leveraging technology to enhance legal services for low-income communities in the Bay Area. The Assistant will assist with data integrity, training end users, and troubleshooting case management system issues. This position reports to the Impact and Learning Manager. The position may be based out of any of our county offices. Successful candidate must clear live scan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly support BayLegal end-users at the office or remote work site.
- Track, update and resolve end-user support requests.
- Identify errors and inconsistencies in data entry, assist in developing corrective measures and produce regular reports for managers.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Provide training on approved processes and procedures.
- Data-entry including creating Salesforce and DocuSign profiles for staff and other Salesforce records.
- Communicates with end-users and third-party vendors to obtain requirements for major projects and application updates.
- Perform all other related duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications/About the Successful Candidate:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Fluency with MS Office systems, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-level customer service standards.
- Hands-on, results-oriented problem solver with excellent time management skills.
- Positive attitude and an ability to work collaboratively and independently with a dynamic team.
- Demonstrated ability to safeguard sensitive information and work with professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills, with ability to be detail oriented.
- Sense of humor, curious and self-directed.
HYBRID WORK OPTION: BayLegal is committed to the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community. BayLegal has health and safety protocols to minimize risk of exposure. BayLegal has an evolving plan to continue to safely increase in-person services and activities in our offices and community-based advocacy sites. Currently, most BayLegal employees work a hybrid model including on-site and in-person work and working from home on a part-time basis. Employees are expected to reside in California and at a distance allowing them to commute to their physical BayLegal base location, and to other service delivery locations as needed, during the standard work week.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a diverse, family friendly environment, and compensation based on competitive public interest salaries along with a generous benefits package. The estimated annual salary is $65,000 – $75,000 (placement in range determined primarily by years of related experience). BayLegal’s benefits package includes 100% employer covered medical, dental, and life insurance for employees and up to 60% for dependents; long term disability insurance; employee assistance program; dependent childcare employer contribution program; and 401k retirement plan with BayLegal contribution following first year. BayLegal has a generous paid leave policy which includes sick leave; parental leave; 15 holidays each year; 3 floating holidays each year (days chosen by employee) prorated based on when start during the year; and vacation (starting at 13 days / year and increasing with additional years of employment).
