Microsoft Theater hosts over 120 music, family, dance and comedy acts, award shows, televised productions, conventions and product launches with over 500,000 guests passing through the doors annually. The 7,100-seat theater offers guests mid-sized intimacy, with no seat further from the stage than 220 feet. Microsoft Theater is centrally located within L.A. LIVE is a 4 million square foot / $3 billion downtown Los Angeles sports and entertainment district adjacent to Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center featuring Microsoft Theater, a 7,100-seat live theatre, a 2,300 capacity live music venue, a 54-story, 1001-room convention “headquarters” destination (featuring The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE hotels and 224 luxury condominiums – The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE – all in a single tower) , the GRAMMY Museum, the 14-screen Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 theatre, broadcast facilities for ESPN along with entertainment, residential, restaurant and office space. Position Summary: The Assistant Manager Events is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned events, as well as support all event activities within the department to assure sales and communications objectives are met. Essential Functions:

  • Responsible overseeing key event activities and logistics within venue(s) events in conjunction with other event managers
  • Oversee the changes and additions of the venue(s) Events calendar
  • Manage and oversee load-ins, events, and load-outs
  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of accurate estimates, settlements, invoicing, etc
  • Oversee the Stocking of the Game Room. Work closely with involved departments to coordinate open/close of room on events
  • Execute assigned Events in the Game Room. Gifting Suites, Receptions, etc
  • Oversee VIP lounge. Receptions, Meet & Greets, Press Conferences, etc
  • Oversee FOH activations/receptions
  • Work closely with Local 33 and have an understanding of their contracts and operations
  • Book Local 33 Directly with the Hall for Assigned Events
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma (BA/BS Degree in related field preferred)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of venue and event management procedures
  • Resourceful and able to resolve issues that arise
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Comfortable in leading clients through walkthroughs
  • Excellent written/oral communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and must be attentive to details
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Must have the ability to stand, sit, crouch, and bend throughout the course of daily activities
  • Must be willing and able to move bike racks, tables, chairs, etc and lift up to 25lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Scale: $65,000 – $93,578 AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship. AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her normal description.
