LIVE is the most entertaining place on the planet. Position Summary: The L.A. LIVE Assistant Manager – Security will provide safety, security, and customer service to residents, business owners, employees and patrons of LA LIVE. S/he is responsible for overseeing security personnel, uniforms and department logistical needs as it relates to the operational and special event personnel. The position reports directly to the Security Manager Field Operations. Essential Functions:

  • Establish, develop and maintain audits of all security operational functions to include but not limited to; Command Center Systems, Incidents Reports, Incident Reporting and Dispatch Software, Shift Logs, Lost and Found Records, Security Equipment Maintenance, Uniforms Office and Break Room Supplies and all common areas utilized by security personnel.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of all security operational procedures to include but not limited to; Post Orders, Attachments and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensures all personnel adhere to and are in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Will provide recommendation and review of all disciplinary actions for personnel not in compliance with the policies and procedures as it relates to field applications.
  • Will share responsibility of all aspects of special event management as assigned by the Security Manager Field Operations, to include but not limited to; Production and Event Meeting attendance, development and coordination of all event related materials, execution and oversight of special event operations.
  • Coordinates and oversees the creation and distribution of the monthly departmental newsletter.
  • Shares responsibility in providing meaningful management to all security field and special event operations. Will assist in fulfillment of Manger On-Duty (MOD) needs and responsibilities.
  • Make immediate decisions and communicate with security staff in emergency situations.
  • Will complete any reasonable needs and requests as it pertains to the department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level of: High school diploma (or equivalent) required (BA/BS Degree (4-year) preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years security experience in a sports/entertainment facility (i.e. sports arena, sports venue, concert venue, stadium)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel); and ability to learn required business systems
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of day-to-day tasks
  • Capable of supervising a staff of 50+ part-time and full-time individuals
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and have the ability to lift/push/pull 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work well with fellow staff members
  • Ability to work long irregular hours for an extended period of time as dictated by events and schedule. This will include weekends and holidays.

Pay Scale: $65,000 – $93,578 AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship. AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her normal description.
