RH is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Merchant to support in the planning and execution of product assortment, inventory management, and sales analysis. You will work closely with cross functional partners, and teams to ensure our products meet customer demand and align with our overall brand strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Live Our Vision, Values, and Beliefs
  • Help build seasonal assortment plans in pre-season development and manage updates throughout the season
  • Own SKU item set-up and maintenance in partnership with the Merchandise Operations team
  • Liaison between the Merchandising team and external vendors while also overseeing vendor set-up, custom orders, replacement part requests, and submission of Expense POs
  • Gain an understanding of forecasting and participate in financial review meetings
  • Provide weekly recaps on sales & margin performance and participate in weekly business meetings as needed
  • Gain a complete understanding of internal and external pricing strategies and customer trends
  • Manage and execute all price changes in partnership with Planning and Merchandise Operations
  • Execute floorset updates in partnership with Merchandise Leader, Visual Merchandising, and Allocation Teams
  • Participate in the process of seasonal launches, including product naming, product information, dimensions, web & catalog proofing, packaging, signage, and any other collateral.
  • Offer input on product assortment strategy and participate in weekly Product Development meetings
  • Manage returns and customer service feedback, as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years experience in an Assistant Merchant role or relevant work experience
  • Experience working with both domestic and/or offshore suppliers and sources
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • A high degree of flexibility and initiative
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
