Juniata College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college of 1400 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science beginning August 2024. We seek individuals who have a genuine interest in teaching computer science and data science within the small liberal arts college environment. Teaching responsibilities will include some combination of introductory courses, upper-level undergraduate courses, and courses in the Master in Data Science program. Teaching may include various topics in computer science, data acquisition, visualization, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data. The teaching load for this position will be 21 credit hours per academic year.

Position Qualifications:
Preferably, candidates will have a Ph.D. (by the time of appointment) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field. Candidates with a master’s degree will be considered. Teaching experience or promise of excellence in teaching is preferred.
