Here’s a summary of responsibilities:
The Sport & Athlete Services division is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Sport Operations team as an Assistant for a 3-month temporary basis. The Assistant will be responsible for supporting various departments within the USOPC, including Games Operations, Olympic Sport Performance, Paralympics & Internally Managed Sports, NGB Services, Training Centers, Sports Medicine, and Athlete Services by assisting with various operational projects and business initiatives.
Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
- Under the direction of the Director, Sport Operations, assist with operational projects related to the various departments within the USOPC, including Games Operations, Olympic Sport Performance, Paralympics & Internally Managed Sports, NGB Services, Training Centers, Sports Medicine, and Athlete Services.
- Support the consolidation and centralization of an extensive NGB contact list, to serve as a shared resource across the organization, through outreach to each respective sport organization to ensure the most up-to-date contact information is utilized.
- Assist with the creation of the Sport & Athlete Services division onboarding documentation to support new staff coming into the organization.
- Assist with the preparation leading up to and during the resource allocation process for the Olympic and Paralympic Sport Performance teams.
- Assist the Director, Sport Operations and Sport & Athlete Financial Analyst with the 2024 budget planning process.
- Support the creation and development of the revamped division SharePoint site to support the division’s new centralized structure.
- Assist with the documentation of division and organization processes and procedures that impact daily operations.
- Collaborate with other members of the Sport Operations team to ensure that projects are completed on time.
- Assist with the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up on action items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be effective:
- Current undergraduate student, entering senior year, with a degree concentration in business administration, management, sport administration, or a related degree path or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Some professional work experience preferred
- Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement preferred

- This is a hybrid role that will regularly work from both our Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters and remotely.
Here’s some more information you need to know:
- Hiring Pay Range: $17.34 – $20.38
- This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position intended to work 40 hours per week.
