The AVP IT Controls will maintain and reinforce our IT Control function. You will implement, maintain and administer the first line of defense (1st LOD) programs to ensure adherence and efficiency within the Information Technology Department. You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of IT General Controls, SDLC, automated controls. The oosition can be based in our Brentwood, Tennessee office on a hybrid basis.

What you will do:

  • Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in the evaluation, development and implementation of an Information Technology internal control system (including ITGCs, automated controls, SDLC).
  • Monitoring to ensure that 1st line jobs are following defined processes and procedures.
  • Builds awareness, knowledge, and skills and, as necessary, provides communication, practical tools and ongoing support including making presentations, to promote a culture of risk identification and management.
  • Supports the management of 1st LOD program for Information Technology in compliance with appropriate principles, standards & direction from the second line of defense groups. Includes developing and promoting program and ensuring the execution of all program components.
  • Analyzes the impact and effectiveness of the program through periodic reviews.
  • Recommends adjustments to the overall program, policy or processes within the business/group in accordance with the Risk Appetite Statement, Governance and Corporate Policy.
  • Supports Information Technology through internal/external audits or regulatory examinations and assists in development of action plans to resolve any identified issues.
  • Provides support to the development and delivery of training and awareness programs within Information Technology to increase awareness of and compliance to risk management requirements.

What You Will Have:

  • University Degree with a focus on Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Certified Information’s Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role gained from working across IT Audit, Financial Audit, or Operational Audit, and within large companies or financial institutions
  • Preferably, 2-3 years of experience in Information Security management processes and methodology
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure highly regarded
  • Experience with providing subject matter expertise in the interpretation and deployment of key Industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with playing a key role in the review, ongoing assessment and testing of IS/IT controls. This includes test preparation, test execution, providing recommendations and reporting on the status of the identified gaps / issues as well as providing input for regulatory reporting and audit queries
  • Experience with contributing effectively and proactively as well as developing, consolidating, analyzing, recommending, and reporting of findings

The base salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,00 and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
