Job Summary:
Ensures effectiveness of internal controls and accuracy of recorded data. Solves and escalates operational problems and technical issues; modifies existing tools or processes. Documents, monitors, and reports on audit processes. Communicates audit inquires with clients and gives/receives communication to other auditors.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate’s/Technical Degree in accounting, finance, data analytics or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, data analytics or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Conducts test work and clearly documents conclusions on work performed.
- Develops an understanding of routine financial, operational, and system processes and relevant controls.
- Develops recommendations to address issues detected. Participates in exit conferences, providing clarification and supporting information as necessary.
- Assists in the planning process, participates in information gathering, meetings, and researches operational and financial data for the related project.
- Contributes to the assessment of risks and development of the routine audit approach. Contributes to the development of routine audit programs.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
