Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking an Associate Compliance Counsel to add to our team of talented people. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring best-in-class compliance policies and procedures across the DISH enterprise. The Associate Compliance Counsel will assist in the marketing compliance program by reviewing advertising and marketing for DISH, Sling TV, Boost Mobile, and Boost Infinite. The Associate Compliance Counsel will also assist the Privacy Team with core functions and research. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated attorney to join a fast-growing company as we expand our compliance functions. Attorneys with interest in marketing, privacy, employment, cybersecurity and/or consumer protection compliance are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advertising and marketing legal compliance review and advice
- Assisting with projects for the privacy team including Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Processing Agreements
- Advising on consumer lending and financial services issues such as installment sales
- Advising on consumer protection laws such as state automatic renewal laws
- Monitoring relevant legal developments (regulatory trends and changes in applicable laws) and analyzing applicability to the company’s objectives, activities, and practices
- Creating and drafting applicable policies and procedures in consultation with experts and business personnel
- Drafting periodic reports on compliance results
- Preparing presentations on compliance issues for communication to company leadership
- Providing training to company employees on policies, applicable laws and regulations
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education: J.D. degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Experience: 2+ years of experience at a major law firm or corporation, including advising on compliance with laws, regulations and policies
Skills and Qualification:
- Marketing and/or financial services compliance experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex legal concepts to business personnel
- Admission to the Colorado Bar, or the ability to become admitted promptly under Rule 222 of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure (Single-Client Counsel)
Salary Range
Compensation: $120,000.00/Year – $164,000.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role’s location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
