Associate Director, Client Lifecycle Management Specialist

Counterparty Manager is an on-line platform for the secure sharing of Client Onboarding, KYC / AML, regulatory data and documentation between buyside, corporates, custodians, fund admins, and sell side firms. Counterparty Manager is a growth product where there has been rapid expansion in the number of clients and processes supported across Client Lifecycle activities (client onboarding, KYC, refresh, tax refresh, regulatory adherences, and offboarding).
Counterparty Manager’s centralised online environment decreases the reliance on email and paper-based interaction. As part of our rapid expansion, IHS Markit has added at least 2 new products a year to the Counterparty Manager offering over the past 5 years. This is an exciting and growing part of the IHS Markit business with a robust pipeline of customers and the need for dynamic and energetic individuals to join our success story.
The Counterparty Manager team is split across multiple locations, London, New York, Singapore and Delhi and covers Commercial, Product Management, Development, Sales, Client Services, and Operations.
Position summary
The role will be primarily focused on leading Buy Side engagement and commercials across the Counterparty Manager product suite which includes the market leading solution set comprised of: ISDA Amend, Outreach360, KYC Services, Tax Utility, Onboarding Accelerator, and Managed Service offerings across Client Lifecycle Management, Regulatory Outreach, and Tax outsourcing.
The role will have two core functions:
Client Relationship Management:
Working in partnership with our Sales, marketing and technology teams, the role will be heavily focused on building and developing buyside, sell side, and custodian relationships. The individual will ensure internal and external stakeholders understand the vision of how the Counterparty Manager product suite can be utilized by firms to facilitate their client lifecycle management processes. The role requires the individual to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Product Development and Analysis:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the client lifecycle management process, business analysis, process modelling, workflow development and communication. The candidate should also possess strong analytical skills to help ensure requirements are gathered from our clients, disseminated and discussed internally for product development, and then delivered thoughtfully and timely. The candidate will be driving the design of innovative technologies to support our client led product development cycle and data visualisation.
The candidate must be able to participate and lead workshops, understand business requirements and challenge working group members on the appropriate implementation of a solution. The candidate will partner with the project and product development teams to design a solution consistent with working group and client recommendations. Finally, the candidate must be actively involved in determining new opportunities in the derivative, trading, client lifecycle management and/or regulatory space and keep close contact with clients to identify the next opportunity. Innovation and customer buy-in is critical to the successful development of all of our technical solutions.
This is an exciting area of the business growing at 40-50%. Opportunities to contribute abound and we need a candidate interested in engaging with our clients and helping us to develop and implement innovative solutions.
Duties & accountabilities
The role will have direct responsibility for:
• Actively managing client accounts with regular meetings to ensure they understand the strategic vision and functionality of Counterparty Manager.
• Ensuring customers of Counterparty Manager receive first class service consistent with IHS Markit’s expectations
• Increasing revenues from existing clients by increasing usage across the Counterparty Manager suite of solutions
• Managing the handover from Sales to Implementation in a seamless manner as new customers come onboard
• Leading and attending working groups and conferences to grow the Counterparty Manager presence
Business competencies:
Education and experience
• Experience in client onboarding and client lifecycle management
• Experience in relationship management, client presentations, and influencing senior stakeholders
• Practical experience with interaction between buyside and sellside operations including onboarding, settlements, tax, credit, loans and legal
• Experience managing projects from start to finish and appropriately designing technology to improve operations
• Have the credibility and capability to work across all levels within an organization to drive adoption
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably with background of: client onboarding / account opening, client lifecycle management, KYC
• Experience in operations, technology, client transition management, client integration, client excellence, and/or client relationship management
Commercial awareness
• Have an excellent client ethos and ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Financial industry documentation and back office process awareness preferred

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
