Job Description

What Does an Associate Director, Marketing Intelligence Do?

  • Proactively seek opportunities to grow the business by integrating data and analytics into marketing strategy and execution
  • Interpret clients’ needs to develop strategic, goal-oriented plans and data science solutions
  • Use mastery of data science techniques and methodologies to elevate client strategies/approaches that move the needle towards achieving the clients’ business and brand goals
  • Create, enhance and pitch analytics offerings to drive growth for EVERSANA Intouch
  • Present an exceptional level of detail via effective writing and presenting of highly technical and complex ideas to a diverse audience with marketing or analytics experience
  • Provide strategic direction that ladders back up to clients’ business objectives
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with team members to execute projects
  • Continuously deepen relationships based on mutual respect and trust with internal and external partners and clients
  • Understand and apply learnings across the Marketing Intelligence team to set best practices
  • Identify gaps in the team’s workflow and processes and give recommendations to senior management regarding solutions
  • Educate Data Scientists on novel solutions and approaches, ensuring the team understands the importance of innovation and embraces the mindset and responsibility
  • Set priorities and work independently to manage those priorities
  • Mentor and train employees and work collaboratively with other team members
  • Manage profitability from project estimation to actual billable hours
  • Review work of Data Scientists and Managers to ensure deliverables are of high quality, on time, accurate and compelling for clients’ business/brand objectives
  • Create and foster relationships with senior brand marketing and analytics clients

Qualifications

What Are We Looking For?

  • Seven or more years in a data/analytical role or leading and executing data science projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
  • Ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
  • Experience translating client needs into data science requirements
  • Superior interpretation and data storytelling skills
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or similar tools
  • Deep understanding of data querying and ability to read, write and optimize complex Structured Query Language (SQL) statements
  • Experience in database design and performance optimization best practices
  • Strong knowledge of large data sources, databases and/or data warehouses
  • Knowledge of third party data sources, such as IQVIA, Symphony, CMS, Census, Acxiom, Experian, etc.
  • Experience working within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake)
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong design skills
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail
  • Expertise in A/B testing and multichannel attribution
  • Advanced understanding of multichannel marketing analytics with a focus on digital (e.g., web, email, paid media, social media, organic search and mobile apps)
  • Passion to self-educate and keep up to date on the latest marketing analytics trends, partners and tools
  • Strategic thinking to lead and mentor staff to achieve success across multiple accounts
  • Compelling presentation, writing and storytelling abilities
  • Capacity to train, enable and lead others to reinforce the usage data for decision making
  • Mastery of verbal and written communication
  • Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience working in a marketing agency environment or with other agencies preferred

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $119,000 to $201,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
