Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Education is responsible for leading the implementation of all education programming. They are responsible for managing full-time Education staff and part-time Teaching Artists. This is an integral role in overseeing and maintaining education partnerships and relationships across the city that serve Milwaukee Rep in a myriad of ways. They work to develop relationships with community partners and schools to ensure a great experience for our students that aligns with both Milwaukee Rep’s and the partners’ goals.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the implementation of all education programming, including in-school, after-school, teen, and adult programs.
- Supervise the education staff, including Education Coordinator, Education & Engagement Manager, and Teaching Artists.
- Contribute to the development of assessment and evaluation materials, archiving, and reporting processes for education programs.
- Manage the education programs budget, including expense tracking and income generation.
- Support and champion institutional Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work, incorporating Rep Forward strategies into all Education programming.
- Lead the curriculum development and implementation of training programs, including the Next Narrative Monologue Competition, Adult Acting, Corporate Training, and Saturday Youth Programs.
- Support E&E staff on all programs, including Student Matinees, Rep Immersion Days, Reading Residencies, School Subscription, Adult Classes, Saturday Youth Programs, ACC Community Tickets, NNMC, Dinner Dialogues, summer programs, etc.
Requirements
Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
- Five years of experience and/or training in theater education and administration which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Experience in managing a team with a demonstrated track record of achieving team goals and creating and maintaining a cohesive culture.
- Knowledge of education principals/theories/etc.
- Knowledge of, experience in, and a passion for theater.
- Ability to facilitate conversation, build, and manage positive relationships with committees and networks (both internal and external), students, school partners, professional organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and experience in curriculum development.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and to lead, train and motivate others.
- Possess a valid U.S driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Salary Description
$45,000 to $47,000 annually
