The Role: Associate Director – Product Manager, RatingsXpress®

The Team: The RatingsXpress® Product Management team focuses on defining, managing and supporting data, analytics and workflow solutions for the distribution and consumption of S&P Global Ratings IP for the core use cases and market segments we serve. This creative team collaborates cross-sector and drives continuous improvements through product innovation and usability.
The Impact: You will play a key role in the successful buildout of new product initiatives and support for our offerings in the market. You will work alongside S&P Global Technology, Commercial, Content and Operation teams to define executable business requirements that are aligned with Clients needs as well as the broader S&P Global strategy and goals.

• You are going to be working in a dynamic group with cross-functional resources and will be responsible for identifying trends in the market and working closely with clients and internal partners to identify and respond to meaningful developments.
• You will be a key contributor to the product vision, capturing and prioritizing requirements, and defining the platform roadmap and go-to-market strategy for core components of our strategic initiatives.
• You will work closely with our user experience, development, quality assurance teams in addition to other internal stakeholders to deliver new capabilities to market.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for owning and developing core components of strategic initiatives and key deliverables, ultimately driving revenue by meeting the needs of current clients, displacing competitors, penetrating new markets, solving new problems, or selling to new client bases. Your job is to add value to our clients through product development and go to market initiatives, including:
Product Ownership
Serve as product and project owner on several high impact deliverables for our product suite; work closely with technology teams to deliver on-time, high value releases. Evolve and help execute core components of the product roadmap for multiple initiatives/delivery channels such as Xpressfeed, API’s & Third Party Platforms etc.
• Create a release plan with high confidence in conjunction with the Scrum Master, Dev Manager and team during the Release Planning ceremony based on the strategy and objectives identified by the Project Owner.
• Create user stories that meet the Definition of Ready in each sprint; create Definition of Ready backlog and have these prioritized
• Ensure stories are executed on that meet the overall release plan at the project and team level
• Ensure there is clear visibility into the work of the team that is understood by the Content/Product Leads, Project Owners, and my functional manager.
• Work with QA and UAT teams to execute on and complete stories in a timely manner.
• Define user stories and Definition of Ready so that product release meets client requirements for anticipated use cases. Prioritize product backlog
• Partner with technology team to meet the overall release plan at the project and team level, understand blockers/limitations the impact on product relevance to end users
• Ensure there is clear visibility into the work of the team that is understood by the Content/Product Leads, Project Owners, and Technology
• Enter regular product health updates that conform to heath reporting requirements
Go To Market Support
• Develop awareness on industry trends and competitor intelligence relating to credit risk data and API products, and implications on product enhancement prioritization and relevance
• Champion the RatingsXpress product suite both internally and externally.
• Act as product expert to represent RatingsXpress team in client outreach. Interface with clients and/or receive direct client feedback to understand user problems and obtain feedback on existing products to evolve roadmaps.
• Develop internal and external collateral on new product releases. These include external facing case studies to illustrate use cases of RatingsXpress products for various workflows; user guides, presentations, brochures, demo and training materials
• Represent RatingsXpress team on product trainings and serve as internal product contact globally.
• Act as proxy for Head of RatingsXpress Product Development
Basic Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies are required. Experience in Scaled Agile is preferred
• Undergraduate education and/or 5+ Years of experience in computer programming and engineering preferred
• 10+ Years in Business Analysis, Product Management with a focus on technology and data roles
• 7+ Years in Financial Services and Technology Industry
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, define and deliver initiatives
• Knowledge in SQL Server and API knowledge (JSON/ Restful); with an emphasis on analytical platforms
• Working knowledge of database/API development and quality assurance roles preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and presentation/public speaking skills. 2+ Years in client facing roles will be a plus
• History of working well in a group setting and proven ability to deliver results
• Directly impacts the professional and/or technical direction and strategy for the core product offering including shaping and designing new products and services
• Uses conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying new/different solutions) to solve issues during product release cycles.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is approximately $125,000 to $150,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
