The Associate Director (AD) at Harvest Farm is a full-time, exempt position of Denver Rescue Mission (DRM). The AD reports to the Director of Residential Programs (DRP) at Harvest Farm and is responsible for the oversight of all client case plans and clinical supports, including Intake, Interventions, Assessments, Case Management, Case Conferencing, and Mental Health and Addiction Counseling services. The AD will assist the DRP in developing and implementing strategies that positively impact sobriety and housing stability.
The AD is responsible for the direct oversight of the clinical and case management staff team and assists in the coordination of efforts between this staff team and others at Harvest Farm.
Hiring Range : $57,900- $77,100 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties
- Advance the Mission of Denver Rescue Mission through the delivery of a healthy, safe and engaging environment at Harvest Farm.
- Foster a culture of progresssional grace amongst staff that orients them around the Mission of meeting individuals at their physical and spiritual points of need.
- Assist with managing the staff and volunteer experience (including clinical, case management, and LEC interns): hiring, onboarding, training, supervising, managing performance, conflict, payroll, time-off, etc.
- Initiate and maintain good relations with all DRM departments.
- In support of the DRP, maintain the relationships necessary to ensure DRM’s case management and clinical efforts reflect a real-time understanding of broader recovery and re-housing efforts, strategies, requirements, etc.
- Act as the point of contact for Harvest Farm in the absence of the DRP.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Supervise the intake process for potential participants seeking entry to Harvest Farm, their arrival, welcome, and first days in the program.
- Provide oversight to Clinical Staff to ensure that clinical needs are met for all participants. Provide oversight and training to ensure clinical staff follow established protocols leading towards long-term recovery and housing outcomes (Assessments, Counseling Plans, Case Notes, Reviews, and Discharge Summaries).
- Develop intervention plans for individuals with cognitive challenges, experiencing mental health episodes, physical challenges, and educate staff on appropriate interventions.
- When appropriate, engage with Crises Intervention Teams such as police, paramedics, adult protective services, child protective services, detox, providing follow-up and necessary documentation once the client leaves the premises.
- Facilitate care teams, establish and maintain a routine of communication between team members, and troubleshoot communication challenges between counselors, case managers, program coordinators, work readiness supervisors, and the chaplain.
- Regularly supervise the delivery of therapeutic services by partner agencies to Harvest Farm participants ensuring they meet our standards.
- Ensure that Case Managers maintain the case management and supportive systems necessary for movement out of homelessness and into available, appropriate, and affordable housing or other long-term solutions, with long-term stability as the goal.
- Ensure that case managers are entering the appropriate date into SCRIBE regarding individualized plans and assessments to facilitate outcome reports to both internal and external partners.
- Work with DRM data specialist to develop processes and prompts within SCRIBE to facilitate proper recording and coordinate efforts towards SCRIBE training and reporting.
Interns
- Work with Volunteer Department to onboard interns.
- Provide oversight to Clinical Interns, as applicable.
- Provide appropriate training for interns, relevant to their area of focus, which meets the requirements of the colleges.
Other
- Convene weekly meetings with key staff members that promote collaboration, teamwork, and personal accountability.
- Represent the Mission at meetings and on committees as directed.
- Communicate with the public through speaking engagements, community meetings, interviews, etc.
- Perform other tasks, participate in project management teams, and complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree required in Social Work or Counseling. A year-to-year experience in human services may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree. An associated license is preferred: Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor, or Licensed Addictions Counselor
- Affirm the Statement of Faith

- A minimum of 1-year experience providing counseling and/or case management or other related interaction with those experiencing homelessness.
- Strong computer/database knowledge, preferably with HMIS. Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Documented experience with staff development and evaluation
- Proven ability to maintain composure during stressful situations: must be trauma-informed.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Clear communication skills – both verbal and written
- Track record of working with low-income, homeless and/or indigent individuals or families
- Must be willing to work a variable schedule to include some nights and weekends, and on-call, as needed to support to work of Harvest Farm.
- Proven ability to manage conflict with and between subordinates, peers, and superiors expeditiously and respectfully.
- Ability to be an approved driver with Denver Rescue Mission
- NOTE: A limited amount of work-related travel may be required occasionally.
