OVERVIEW
CR is currently hiring for Associate Director, SEO. The Associate Director, SEO ensures the execution of the SEO strategy and roadmap for CR. They will work across teams to maximize the visibility of Consumer Reports in organic search, champion SEO within the organization, and lead efforts that grow CR’s audience and membership base through SEO. The Associate Director, SEO must be a consummate team player, a natural teacher who can translate the technical and complex, an effective influencer who inspires work toward a common goal, and a passionate expert in SEO. This is a critical role within the organization given that organic search is a strategically and financially important entry point for consumers to the brand.
Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 90%. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of one of our main office location (Yonkers, NY).
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
As Associate Director, SEO you will spearhead the integrated SEO strategy and roadmap across marketing, technical and content, analyze and provide insights to leadership on CR’s SEO performance and identify key challenges and opportunities. You will serve as lead internal expert on SEO, keep abreast of trends, algorithm updates, best practices, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy and tactics. The Associate Director, SEO will manage and oversee budget, forecasting, vendor relationships and evangelize SEO within CR, providing education and inspiration to nurture and SEO first mindset!
ABOUT YOU
You’ll Be Highly Rated If:
- You have 8 or more years of dedicated SEO experience – including in hands on and leadership positions
- You have a proven track record – driving growth for a brand through SEO.
- You have expertise working with enterprise SEO tools – including SEMRush, Conductor, Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl, Botify.
- You have experience working with analytics tools – including GA and Adobe analytics.
- You have prior management experience – developing and managing staff

FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE
At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive,
market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $130k to $155k. It is
anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the
successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills,
competencies, and experience.
