Position Description
Are you ready to shape the future of personalized medicine? QIAGEN Digital Insights is seeking a dynamic Software Program Manager who thrives on driving meaningful progress. This pivotal role is responsible for orchestrating the efforts of talented Product Managers, Product Owners, Designers, Software engineers, Quality engineers, and Content scientists to produce high-quality market-leading clinical genomic interpretation content-enabled software. The successful candidate will have excellent understanding of software development practices, program management and communication skills to drive software releases. Position Responsibilities:
– Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering and QA on product roadmap and release planning
– Work with global product managers and development to build program plans, estimates and schedules
– Lead product development coordination meetings
– Facilitate the translation of completed designs into software requirement specifications
– Work with R&D leads to help them efficiently translate software requirements into release-ready product
– Follow and where needed represent established ISO13485 QMS procedures
– Contribute to platform design discussions
– Support release readiness by contributing to release notes, user guide updates, and technical documentation
– Support release technical training for FAS and Support teams
Position Requirements
– Education level: minimum of Bachelor of Science or equivalent
– 5 years successfully project or program managing product release cycles
– 5 years experience in agile software development, preferably with SaaS products
– 2 years experience in a software product requirements prioritization role
– Track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software on time
– Positive team player able to communicate effectively and manage activities across cross functional teams
– Strong task management, prioritization skills, planning and understanding of project and program management methods
– Ability to create and manage detailed project plans and schedules, identify risks and creatively mitigate them
– Expertise with software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Polarion
– Understanding of software testing and quality assurance processes under ISO13485
– Ability to coordinate geographically disparate teams (US and Europe)
– Interest in our genetics and personalized medicine
Personal Requirements
– Attentive to detail, loves to learn, and comfort with complexity
– Location: Ideally based in the San Francisco Bay Area (will need to travel on-site to the Redwood City office a few days a week).
The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $165,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits
