Associate Director, Subscriber Acquisition & Paid Media Analytics
The Dow Jones Marketing Analytics team is seeking an Associate Director with expertise in media mix modeling and data visualization to be a key partner to our Acquisition and Paid Media teams. This role will span across our consumer brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics and experience with go-to-market strategy in customer-centric organizations. The role will focus on media mix modeling and attribution, as well as building dashboards and tools that enable data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the leadership of the Acquisition & Paid Media group providing clear recommendations for business growth based on data-driven insights.
- Develop and implement media mix modeling and sales attribution strategies to optimize our marketing investments across all marketing channels (brand/acquisition) and tactics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Dow Jones’ acquisition funnel, focusing on media mix modeling and dashboards/visualization to analyze user flow, paywall strategy, and product improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create short-term and long-term plans for go-to-market strategy, using media mix modeling and dashboards/visualization to inform target audiences, tactics, and brand positioning.
- Lead media mix modeling, and serve as a strategic advisor to the Subscriptions Product team on product testing, and implementing best practices for experimentation.
- Use competitor benchmarks, internal research, and industry best practices to inform strategy.
- Ensure proper measurement of media efforts (from upper to lower funnel) in collaboration with the Paid Media team.
- Identify and advocate for the right Martech tools to enable best-in-class analysis and measurement.
- Manage a team of data experts and analysts, providing mentorship and feedback on projects and code
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in driving data-driven strategy at leading B2C/D2C or subscription companies with a focus on media mix modeling and data visualization.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities with a background in e-commerce.
- Entrepreneurial, curious, able to easily distill complex problems.
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and strong writing skills.
- Experience processing and manipulating data with programming languages, such as SQL, Python, and R.
- Expertise in analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Appsflyer, Optimizely, Tableau, Looker, BigQuery, AdServer and DSP.
- Experience managing a team of analysts is preferred.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $200,000
