We’re seeking an emerging Environmental Project Manager to oversee tasks at the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, CA. You’ll apply your technical experience to develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.
Based onsite at the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, CA , you’ll have the opportunity to work on environmental projects for the U.S. Marine Corps’ largest training facility, occupying approximately 1,101 square miles (704,640 acres) . You will manage project teams that include junior field and reporting staff, senior technical consultants, and technical subject matter experts, with support from Jacobs internal management. Most tasks may include coordinating field sampling elements (groundwater, soil, well installation, etc.), training activities, materials and supply purchases, various reporting requirements. All tasks need to be delivered with high safety, compliance, and quality standards expected by both Jacobs and the Marine Corp.

Typical salary range for this position is $97,900 to $128,400 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology or other closely related technical degree
- Demonstrated technical evaluation and writing skills
- Professional environmental project experience, including permitting, conducting site trainings, managing EMS, and subcontractor oversight
- Experience as a project manager dealing with all aspects of project delivery, including project statusing of budgets and schedule
- Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing work plans and quality assurance project plans
- Proven experience developing winning proposals and successfully managing projects with respect to clients, contracts, stakeholders, scope, schedule, budget, diverse teams, quality, risk, change, and profit.
- Specific training, knowledge, and experience necessary to identify goals and objectives, and develop, review, and implement various project delivery strategies and plans.
- Proven organizational, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
- Must be located onsite or near Twentynine Palms, CA
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Professional Engineer or Geoscientist, or Project Management Professional (P.E., P.Geo, or PMP) designation or ability to obtain and maintain
- Experience with project and account management tools and applications, such as cost pricing, project statusing and tracking, and customer account relationship tools
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations
