We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data & Analytics Associate with a passion for coding and expertise in Tableau to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize coding skills to create and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and data-driven solutions for our group insurance business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and transform them into effective data visualizations and reports.
- Work with large and complex data sets, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Maintain clear documentation of how to update dashboards, their purpose, and intended use, including detailed logs of work requested and completed.
- Continuously analyze and optimize existing Tableau reports for performance and relevance.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve and streamline data processes within the group insurance division.
- Demonstrate a self-starting attitude and a strong work ethic to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Provide direction and assistance in interpreting data to business partners, suggesting potential uses, limitations, and ensuring correct data is provided for intended use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Actuarial Sciences or Finance related areas.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and the ability to apply these skills to data analysis.
- Experience with Tableau or a strong desire and capacity to quickly learn Tableau.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand and interpret group insurance-related data.
- Comfort working with big data sets, including data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and a desire to take ownership of projects.
- Adept at multitasking and working in a collaborative team environment.
Salary range: $47,500-$72,500
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
