Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking a Small Business Liaison Officer to support the company’s small business program and oversee the company’s small business reporting. This position requires a procurement professional with small business experience especially in small business reporting. This role will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee the small business reporting process to include, but not limited to, ISRs, SF294s, SSRs, SF295s and FFATA to ensure accuracy and on time submittal
- Participate in “tiger teams” with the eSRS Federal Help Desk and industry to implement updated logic/changes as needed
- Work with internal SMEs to develop and launch a compliance database that will monitor and report small business utilization on a contract-by-contract basis
- Develop and implement a Risk Mitigation Dashboard Tool to identify contracts that are at risk of not meeting submitted subcontracting goals.
- Analyze spend data to identify small and diverse supplier opportunities
- Perform queries for data and analytics for ad hoc, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Ability to interface with all levels of management, briefing status on small business utilization
- Experience with supporting review, research, analysis, and resolution of inquires raised by government and/or internal client staff.
- Review socioeconomic supplier classifications in the supplier master file. Conduct quarterly semi-annual reviews to ensure classifications and corresponding certifications are correct based on information from suppliers and certifying organizations
- Build and maintain a proposal database to track contract Wins/Losses
- Enhance Peraton’s Small Business Registration Portal and assist all prospective small business vendors/subcontractors with registration or troubleshooting
- Experience with supporting proposal development efforts for small business subcontracting plans and/or small business participation plans to ensure compliance with 19.704
- Screen potential small business partners and vetting their capabilities for compatibility with existing and new business opportunities
- Ability to represent Peraton at small business outreach events and participate in federal, state and local procurement conferences and industry meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 5 years (Master’s with 3 years) of related work experience working in the small business office and supporting small business reporting
- Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- An in-depth knowledge about federal government subcontracting, to include Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)/other agency FAR supplements.
- Strong background in supporting Small Business Audits
- Business acumen with ability to think critically and develop creative and practical solutions.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- Highly adaptable to change; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-moving environment.
- Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to employees and management at all levels.
- Experience with Costpoint, Cognos and proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, BI).

Range for Posting
Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
