Associate Manager Packaging Innovation

Overview

Packaging is a critical piece of our PEP+ sustainability strategy and winning at the moment of choice with consumers.

This role offers a high level of exposure to senior executives given the top prioritization of the packaging innovation agenda. This role will also provide the opportunity for an individual to develop critical experiences across all marketing functions, including innovation, commercial, and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Execution/commercialization of labeling including partnership with insights, design and graphics commercialization.
  • Collaboration and influencing across Business Units and geographies around consistent messaging on pack.
  • Developing label roll-out for packaging claims including determining strategy against key questions like future geographic and pack rollouts
  • Leading development of value packaging strategy including developing/executing learning plan and influencing and gaining alignment from key stakeholders
  • Develop and execute alternate material strategy, leading commercialization of prioritized initiatives
  • Expert on How2Recycle program, responsible for socializing with PBNA; partner with R&D to make sure all new packs are submitted/approved.
  • Budget support on owned initiatives/programs, support to Director on POs/invoices

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 – $135,600 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out Annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate Degree, Prior Marketing experience within consumer-packaged goods
  • Preferred: MBA with a concentration in Marketing
  • A minimum of 5 years prior experience (if undergrad degree only) OR 2 years of prior Marketing experience (if Advanced degree)
  • Preferred: Prior marketing experience within beverages
  • Exceptional collaboration skills given highly matrix nature of role and need to partner across brands and cross functional teams (Supply Chain, Engineer, R&D, Design and Brand teams)
  • Self-starter and able to independently drive for results
  • Transformational thinking, comfort with risk taking and working with ambiguity
  • Proven track record of identifying rich consumer insights and translating them into effective product innovation
  • Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, effectively influence an extended organization, and operate differently than existing paradigm
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships
