As an Associate Manager – Partnership and Events you will assist the Partnerships & Events Manager in building and operating a Partnerships & Events discipline supporting prioritized E&J Gallo Business for Commercial, Luxury and Spirits brands, as well as corporate and portfolio initiatives. You as will provide insight and thought leadership on Partnerships & Events Marketing to the organization, collaborates cross-functionally with other SMEs and brand marketing teams.
What You Will Do:
- Supports Partnership & Events Manager in the creation of foundational documents for a best-in-class Partnerships & Events practice, including strategic approach, ways of working, metrics and analytics.
- Identifies and vets (or provides guidance to agencies and cross-functional partners) relevant partnership and events opportunities that align with specific brand strategies to determine relevance, extent of exposure and financial implications.
- Partners with Brand Marketing and Marketing Planning Teams to develop Partnership & Event marketing strategies and budget planning for priority brands across Gallo’s portfolio.
- Participates in the Integrated Marketing Planning/IMP process.
- Supports briefing, management and evaluation of Event Marketing & Experiential agencies as well as agencies that plan and execute partnerships on behalf of Gallo.
- Develops key strategic relationships with 3rd parties and IP rights holders across the marketing spectrum and maintains a positive working relationship with targeted partners and stakeholders to generate positive association and unique strategic alliances on behalf of E&J Gallo and select priority
- brands within its portfolio.
- Supports negotiation of select agreements that are forged between E&J Gallo and any strategic partnership, sponsorship and/or strategic alliance. Continually overdelivers on the acquisition of assets, access and IP rights associated with any contractual agreement that is procured on behalf of
- the company and its brands.
- Consolidates information on all partnerships established across the Gallo portfolio and consistently identifies opportunities for potential partnerships that support Gallo’s business.
- Shares best practice insights on Measurement & Evaluation standards: current and emerging KPIs, benchmarking and dashboards, and analyses results to identify success and opportunities for improvement.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of partnership marketing, communications/PR, hospitality, sales, event planning, marketing project management, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of partnership marketing, communications/PR, hospitality, sales, event planning, marketing project management, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Required to possess strong written, verbal, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Required to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
- Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Required to travel nationally up to 30% of the time; mode of transportation includes airlines and automobiles.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of hospitality, partnership marketing, communications/pr, sales, event planning, marketing project management, or marketing experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Solid understanding of company’s portfolio of products.
- Experience implementing and executing virtual events.
- Certification in wine and spirits such as CSW certificate from Society of Wine Educators.
- Experience with reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal and Compliance documents.
- Experience with responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Compensation
- Hiring Salary Range: $84,500 – $124,200/Year.
- Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
