Description
- Support New York Life’s pricing functions through key Model Risk Management projects
- Create consistent documentation across all products we sell, minimizing key person risk and enhancing our knowledge transfer during rotations
- Enhance standards and execute on 1st line review and testing
- Ensure documentation both describes model execution procedures and facilitates change management
- Help users understand key risk drivers, assumptions, build process, and implementation/production through documentation
- Perform ongoing monitoring of model usage and changes, revising documentation where needed
- Work with Model Risk Management on addressing 2nd line of review and model validation findings
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years working in actuarial or actuarial services functions (5+ years of experience preferred)
- Work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Quick learner with an ability to understand the products we sell and how our models differ from one another
- Previous modeling experience required; Prophet modeling preferred
- Strong written communication with an ability to dissect complex technical information and provide documentation that is clear to all users
- Strong project management skills required with a focus on details
Salary range: $58,500-$85,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
