The base salary range for an Associate BSA is $45,000 to $60,000. The base salary range for an BSA I is $50,000 to $72,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

Business Systems Analyst Overview:

  • This is a multiple level position and depends on experience.
  • Perform systems analysis, data analysis, and production support for company applications and administration systems.
  • Gather, analyze, document and validate the needs of business stakeholders.
  • Provide functional requirement documents including inputs, processing steps and outputs to meet users’ needs to assist developers in successfully translating and achieving project goals.
  • Create training documents and maintain project files and updates.
  • Participate in training of new systems and/or process implementations.
  • Help with the analysis of workable solutions to application, web, and systems problems.
  • Focus on timely methods for achieving deliverables.
  • Work on small to large projects that have system-wide impact.
  • Must be able to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes.
  • Assist with basic to moderate support issues.

Essential Duties:

  • Support Request Triage and Analysis – Identify and analyze the customers’ need or issue in order to provide the best solution; Log a record of the customers’ requests/issues and drives resolution in a timely manner.
  • Track support issues, perform root cause analysis, implement solutions, and support large group initiatives.
  • Perform project activities including requirements gathering, configurations, testing, training and go live support.
  • Requirements gathering and testing activities.
  • Build configurations in the system, implement and communicate the solution in the system.
  • Create necessary training materials
  • Analyze customer issues to spot trends/underlying problems.
  • Monitor system for issues not identified by customers and provides resolution.

Required Education and Experience:

  • The Associate Business Systems Analyst would have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competency.
  • The Business Systems Analyst I would have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience with 6 months – 2 years programming, systems analysis, or business analysis experience.
  • The Business Systems Analyst II would have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience with 2-4 years programming, systems analysis, or business analysis experience.
  • The Sr. Business Systems Analyst would have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience with 4-6 years programming, systems analysis, or business analysis experience.
