Overview of the Position:
We are looking for a great associate print designer to join our team working on two home brands (Pioneer Woman and Better Homes and Gardens). The associate print designer will work on many categories in the home space including bedding, bath, furniture, and decor. They will be responsible to partner with the designers to create fresh, on brand prints or manipulate purchased prints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to interpret and create prints and patterns directly relating to the trend direction that the Design leadership team establishes. Must be proactive in bringing workable prints to the table.
- Must have strong color sense and be able to clean, separate, create repeats and colorways.
- Strong understanding of color libraries, color matching and brand palette adherence.
- Will need to create main prints, co-ordinates, plaids, simulated wovens, etc.
- Must be comfortable partnering with members of the design team to create prints that will work on home products across multiple categories.
- Responsible for recording and documenting the creation of prints from concept to final pattern.
- Self-management in the creation of both hand painted and digital artwork.
- Responsible for designing technically advanced repeats, artwork cleaning, indexing patterns and creating colorways using Ned Graphics, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Creatively versatile – ability to design traditional florals, iconography, create both hand painted and vector art.
- Understanding product specifications, industry printing standards and processes.
- Technically skilled in designing elevated patterns for usage across home department.
- Research competitive markets and future trends.
- Work within deadlines demands, and seasonal schedules.
Job Requirements:

- College degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design (Print & Pattern) or related field.
- 3-5 yrs years of design and CAD experience.
- Proficient in Ned Graphics a plus
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Product Design knowledge a plus, but not a necessity.
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 depending on experience
