Associate, Project Management (Mainstreet Chief of Staff Team)

As a Project Manager at Capital One, you can achieve results you never thought possible by leading critical and strategic business projects. In this exciting role, you will be part of Mainstreet’s Chief of Staff team and work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the Mainstreet associate experience. You will partner with our Communications team to develop internal communications for Mainstreet, including development of the weekly newsletter, updates to the intranet and talking points for key leaders. In addition, you will play a critical role in planning and executing associate engagement opportunities, including fun events, All Calls and offsites. You will also take the lead in ensuring the Chief of Staff team is well managed as we drive forward key projects and processes for the Mainstreet business. You will work with smart, talented people who will challenge you to excel.
As a Project Manager you will:
- Work on small to medium-scale department projects that have a direct impact on Mainstreet associates
- Drive cross-functional projects or phases of larger projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed
- Work with associates and key stakeholders to assist in project planning and design. Manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery.
- Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
- Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.
- Partner with associates and key stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
- Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
- Identify ways to improve and streamline business process
The person will: - Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
- Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
- Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite
- At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, Relationship Management, Events Management, Administrative or Communications`
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s / MBA degree
- Project Management platform experience
- 3 years of Project Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills
- Work experience achieving results

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Location is New York City: $84,300 – $96,200 for Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
