Description

Summary: US-EcoLogic has an opening for Associate Project Manager which is a position that would make inspection and builder relations more efficient and productive. The Associate Project Manager would report directly to Michael Kelly and assist in a manner of different activities described below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Field calls from construction team, internal and external
    • Including: field inspections about specific clients or issues.
    • Including: construction and area managers about specific items.
  • Handles special inspections, audits, warranty, and multiple failure calls as needed.
  • Identify and resolve any ongoing trade issues that arise in assigned area, coordinate with Project Managers on resolution.
  • Sales support for all service offerings, coordinates with Project Manager, prospects and creates business leads for Project Manager.
  • Maintain internal project progress tracking, provide feedback to project management team regarding issues.
  • Responsible for updating and tracking relevant notes on jobsites/tasks within QuickBase.
  • Training and support of construction teams related to code or program requirements.
  • Conduct trades training and provide support for affiliated trades and subcontractors.
  • Send out monthly builder performance reports.
  • Attend weekly field meetings and assist in field issue resolution in person.
  • Help with ongoing technological solutions to improve business operations.
  • Assist Project Manager in delivering code solutions to current and prospective clients.
  • Maintain certifications for the following credentials: IECC residential, IECC commercial, LEED, HERS.
    • Pursue additional above-code certifications as needed.
  • Assist Project Managers in reducing accounts receivable to 5% or lower.
  • Assist Project Managers in maintaining a 3.5 average inspection count per builder account.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide backup inspection support for Home Inspection Verifiers including but not limited to:
    • LEED for Homes Green Rater Inspections
      • Inspect single family homes for compliance with the LEED for Homes Green Rater protocol at pre-drywall & final stage. Complete compliance reports and inspection forms on-site.
    • Building Performance Testing including, but not limited to:
      • Blower Door – Infiltration Testing
      • Duct Blaster – Duct Leakage Testing
      • Required ENERGY STAR tests
      • Additional testing as required by program or municipality

Qualifications

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Ability to carry 50 lbs. and work in inclement weather

30/60/90-day success reviews:

This is a critical position within US-EcoLogic SF Field Services. Therefore, your performance of this job will be evaluated at the 30, 60 and, 90-day marks using the following criteria and will be evaluated every 90 days thereafter.

  1. Superior performance in managing re-inspections
    1. Rolling Re-Inspection reports will be implemented to show a downward trend in the overall number of reinspects done in your area.
  2. Superior performance in managing the task list
    1. No more than a 24-hour completion time of personal and rater assigned tasks in QuickBase.
  3. Superior performance in reducing the number of red tagged inspections and dry runs
    1. Track and report the total number of Construction Manager trainings that were held monthly.
    2. Track and report the total number of trades trainings held in your area monthly.
    3. Track and report the total number or first-time passing inspections.
  4. Clear and proper communication with Project Manager
  5. Follow through with all issues to completion in a timely fashion
  6. Being able to make independent decisions and actions and appropriately apply them
  7. Client feedback
  8. Field Rater feedback

In the event of a poor review our key options for corrective action are as follows:

  • If training is deemed appropriate a specific training plan will be provided and Project manager will evaluate in 30 days
  • If applicable, you will be moved back to your previous position if it is available or to a position that better fits your skill set

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma and or On-the-job experience as a HERS/IECC/LEED Green Rater

Language Skills:

Able to speak English

Physical Qualifications:

Pass a Physical and able to lift 50 pounds

IECC Residential, RESNET RFI, HERS, LEED Green Rater
