Pay Range

$104,370 – $135,192Annually for the E01.3 level

$125,160 – $162,120 Annually for the E01.4 level

Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

Job Description

We have multiple openings forBusiness Analyststo develop and implement business and technical strategies to support programs within the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Directorate. You will be responsible for gathering requirements and developing/maintaining processes to facilitate data system development, integration, and maintenance for program management teams. You will be contributing to all phases of the programs.This position is in the Weapons and Complex Integration Directorate.

This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team.Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will

  • Develop, plan, and implement strategies for implementing work, including processes that cross several functions, significant events, special projects, and develop end-to-end process maps.
  • Provide in-depth consultation to program and technical staff to identify and evaluate standards and procedures to improve overall process efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to build project implementation timelines.
  • Manage the progress of work and monitor change management by working as a liaison between technical staff and management.
  • Prepare customized data reports and data visualizations to facilitate decision making.
  • Prepare project plans including task estimation.
  • Facilitate and interact with internal resources to complete project activities.
  • Develop and implement plans to promote culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities at the E01.4 level:

  • Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis and design of complex business processes for the program.
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals for the implementation of operational changes to improve information and processing systems.
  • Plan large and complex solutions requiring collaboration of multiple disciplines and management teams.

Qualifications

  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience developing business process documentation and training materials.
  • Experience applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to practical business outlooks such as forecasting, benefit analysis, and trending.
  • Advanced experience using project management tools and process development tools such as Primavera or MS Project, or other scheduling programs, Visio and expert knowledge using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience training/mentoring team members on complex technical directions and new systems requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and negotiation skills necessary to communicate with multidisciplinary team members and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and commitment to diversity and fostering an inclusive and equitable organization.

Additional qualifications at the E01.4 level:

  • Experience managing multiple, integrated projects and leading business transformation activities using project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.
  • Experience as a team leader, setting technical and business direction and requirements for others as well as the ability to work independently, acting on own initiative, and work as a member of a project team with engineers and scientists.
