We are currently accepting applications for a Contracts Agent in Murray, Utah or Remote.
The qualified candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Review, draft, refine, negotiate, and execute moderately complex vendor contracts.
- Ensure that contracts and suppliers meet all compliance regulations and internal policies.
- Manage outsourced resources, ensuring all appropriate hand off points throughout the contract lifecycle from new contract requests, contract approval, contract maintenance, and termination.
- Supervise off-shore team in the contract set up and maintenance process including new contract workspaces, contract approval forms, and contract termination notices.
- Ensure that contractual records and documentation for all projects are maintained in partnership with the off-shore team.
- Support negations for managed contracts if required.
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks, and undertaking negotiations with suppliers as required.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s in business, finance, information technology or a related field and some experience in professional contract negotiation management, vendor relationships, or other directly related experience.
- Experience in banking and finance a plus.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. Basic knowledge of contract analysis, interpretation, contract documentation, negotiation, redlining, interpretation, legal implementations, storage, and maintenance.
- Good problem solving, negotiation, project, and vendor relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of business and legal contract terms and contract risk mitigation.
- Understanding of the business case and financial/analytical issues as well as profit and loss implications or overall experience in pricing negotiations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transactional organization.
- Ability to multi-task, advise and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Good prioritization, analytical, risk management, and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of legal implementations, storage, and maintenance of vendor contracts.
- Knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet software and applications.

Pay range (depending on experience and location): $60,000-$75,000
