Dow Jones is seeking an Associate, The Wall Street Journal Engagement Marketing. The Associate will support the engagement marketing team’s goal of increasing subscriber retention for The Wall Street Journal. The team is responsible for the full lifecycle of paying subscribers.

The Wall Street Journal is the definitive source of news and information through the lens of business, finance, economics and money, global forces that shape the world and are key to understanding it.

This role will report into the Manager, The Wall Street Journal Engagement Marketing and will work cross-functionally with teams across the subscription marketing funnel (Acquisition, Retention, Brand, Creative, Product etc..).

Role based in New York City, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Engagement marketing tactics for moving customers through the customer journey. The strategy must employ a multi-touch approach; integrating channels such as: email, social media, web, mobile, and more to engage customers, coordinating activity across multiple channels
  • Advocate for the subscriber and employ a strategic mindset to ensure subscriber experiences are best-in-class.
  • Effectively communicate subscription benefits and entitlements to subscribers.
  • Assist engagement managers with the launch and optimization of multi-channel campaigns for subscribers, ensuring all deadlines and best practices are met.
  • Optimize onsite marketing campaigns and advise on best practices for other marketing teams.
  • Streamline workflows, consolidate efforts and create efficiencies across the team.
  • Assist in localizing engagement marketing campaigns for international subscribers.
  • QA consumer-facing marketing assets.
  • Set up campaigns to drive newsletter sign ups amongst WSJ subscribers.
  • Exercise a knowledge of the brand and an ability to balance team goals with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years experience working in a marketing role. Engagement Marketing/Retention is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to synthesize raw data into actionable campaign optimization strategies for new and existing initiatives.
  • Hands-on familiarity with marketing technology platforms.
  • Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving, and executive presentation skills are required.
  • The ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, as well as manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Interest in international marketing and localization.
  • The ability to self prioritize and foresee challenges/roadblocks (and plan for them accordingly).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business from accredited institution or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range: $40,000 – $160,000
