Maintenance Logistics Analyst – Remote

The Maintenance Logistics Analyst is a corporate position responsible for developing and improving the efficiency of operation processes through the introduction of improved procedures and deployment of improved systems. This position will have company-wide oversight of spare part inventory management, reconciling surplus inventory, leveraging McLane purchasing power and maintaining the divisional score cards. Additionally, this position will provide recommendations on inventory management practices, assist in annual parts audits, and provide system training. The person in this role will expected to develop strong working relationships with all key Division Management and with the various 3rd party vendors /suppliers and Warehouse maintenance departments.

Salary Range: $58,000 – $70,000

Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Support the implementation and use of company’s CMMS.
  • Support management in the review of parts usage and determine inventory levels needed to maintain systems.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on, but not limited to: Spare parts status across all locations
  • Receive part requests from Maintenance team
  • Vendor parts pricing
  • Equipment spare part listing
  • Reporting inventory discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain accuracy of spare parts metadata by regularly collecting and inputting information; supplier, catalog number, evaluate min/max quantities, pricing, manufacturer, part numbers and pictures per asset.
  • Drive materials management process at each division’s storeroom, including but not limited to:
  • Create new items in the system
  • Create and/ or Generate POs, PO Receipts
  • Develop and maintain the 5s of the storerooms
  • Work with divisions to develop and maintain lists of critical spare parts
  • Audit materials management process with regularly scheduled cycle counts on an annual basis at each division.
  • Work with maintenance teams to reduce costs and improve parts quality.
  • Support the following systems: RF-based warehouse management system. Manage spare parts labeling/barcoding system from a corporate standpoint.
  • Review the appropriate reports from each system daily and provide swift resolution of the problems indicated by these reports.
  • Coach and educate staff on the CMMS functions and best practices for performing tasks.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of work history.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry, principles of inventory management, general accounting practices, purchasing techniques, and elements of the physical distribution system will be a plus.
  • Have strong computer skills including MS Office. Prefer experience in a maintenance data base such as MP2, DataStream 7i, Maximo, EAM or Maintenance Connection.
  • Possess experience in inventory management, parts research.
  • Possess experience in data analysis in maintenance programs, specifically in spare part optimization and procurement procedures.
  • Project management experience.
  • Travel 75 to 80% of the time.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
