Department Description Department Purpose
The UC Davis Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) in partnership with the Associated Students, University of California, Davis (ASUCD) has established a number of new full-time staff positions that will be referred to as ICA & ASUCD Fellowships. These positions will be available to recent UC Davis graduates who aspire to work within Intercollegiate Athletics and meet the qualifications as outlined in the following job description.
Job Summary
Under close supervision of the Associate Athletics Director of Leadership and Professional Development, this internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects personal and professional development of student-athletes under the Aggie EVO System.
Assist in developing internal and external marketing and promotional materials to improve awareness of program goals and requirements as determined by ICA administration. Assist in building proactive relationships with all 25 teams, coaching staffs, and athletes in order to increase awareness of service offerings and facilitate individual and small group coaching. Assist development staff (including development fellow) in planning and executing events and communications designed to connect current athletes with alums and donors. Assist in improvement of analytics, including collection, organization, tracking, and reporting out of relevant metrics used to evaluate engagement and efficacy of programming.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Maneuver and lift boxes and files/office supplies weighing up to 30lbs.
- Ability to travel as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Valid CA driver’s license required.
- Work with frequent interruptions.
- Operate a variety of office and meeting equipment such as copiers, scanners, LCD projectors and laptop computers as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree and some experience working in or competing for an intercollegiate athletics program.
• Some experience planning/coordinating and managing logistical details for large, complex events.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Writing, editing, proofreading skills to produce correspondence formatting & branding, and other written materials reflective of program goals and standards.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills which manifest in highly effective contributions to teams, positive experiences for clients (students, employers, staff and faculty).
• Familiarity working with a diverse community to establish and maintain good working relationships in a manner that promotes a positive image of UC Davis and Intercollegiate Athletics.
• Skills to professionally address customer inquiries and requests expediently and with minimum direction.
• Proficiency in the use of Windows Office Suite applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
• Experience with research, collection of data, analysis of trends using Excel, SAS, and/or other relevant software, and generating reports for internal consumers.
• Experience with graphic design software used to create content for promotional work on social media platforms.
