SCHEDULE
2 -3 weeknights and 1 weekend shift based on the schedules below
Monday – Friday: 5:00 pm – 10:30pm
Saturday: 7:45 am – 2:00 pm/12:00 pm – 6:00 pm/3:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm/10:00 am – 4:00 pm/1:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Holidays required as needed.
Days and Hours will vary as needed up to 25 hours per week.
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Performs responsible semiskilled work in the supervision of athletic programs and related special events; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:
Checks on and inspects for safety athletic programs, facilities, and equipment;
Completes facility maintenance checklist;
Completes attendance and non-employee accident reports;
Enforces facility rules and regulations;
Umpires games and keeps score; maintains adequate records.
RELATED TASKS:
Makes sure half field lights are on/off as needed;
Drags lines and rakes fields;
Checks facility use permits;
Replaces nets, bases, and plates;
Performs related tasks as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Some knowledge of team sports and related rules; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community officials, employees, volunteer groups, and the general public;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid State of Florida Class “E” driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and carry articles weighing up to 50 lbs., and push articles up to 165 lbs. Must be able to wear helmet, safety glasses, Safety Harness, safety shoes/boots, and gloves. Exposure to temperature extremes, noise, electricity, heights up to 12 ft., dust, animals/insects, and bloodborne pathogens

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible to receive Paid Leave and to contribute to the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, a part-time employee must have worked at least 1,040 hours in the prior fiscal year
PAID LEAVE: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will receive twelve (12) hours of Paid Leave on October 1st. This Paid Leave shall be used no later than September 30th of that fiscal year or it will be forfeited. These hours may not accumulate and may only be granted with the approval of the employee’s supervisor. This paid leave has no cash value at separation of employment.
MISSION SQUARE 457 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will be allowed to participate in the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. The City will not provide any matching funds.
