Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our Chemical Security Program under the Security Assistance Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
Areas of specific interest and expertise are in the national security & international capacity building domain and will focus on chemical security.
Responsibilities:
Interns will work individually and as a team on the following tasks (specific tasks will be assigned during onboarding), as well as supporting individual programs:
- Conduct subject area research
- Support international project management
- Assist with program implementation and monitoring and evaluation tasks
- Work with program teams to further develop our subject-matter expert/consultant database in Salesforce
- Support growth efforts and Thought Leadership Events
- Work with other interns in the development and implementation of a group project
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team to develop solutions to mitigate the proliferation of chemical security threats, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- An understanding of basic project management concepts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, onsite and remotely
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
